Vocation Story: God planted the seed of the priesthood in my heart at a young age. When I was in second grade, my friend’s older brother was joining seminary with the Legionaries of Christ. This set the seed of the priesthood in my heart. From this time on, I wanted to be a priest. When seventh grade approached, I decided to deepen my prayer life and discern God’s will for my life. Through this prayer, I knew God’s will for my life. I felt him calling me to be a priest. From this time forward, it was no longer a matter of “What is God’s will for my life?” but rather “Do I want to do this?” And the answer wasn’t always yes, but I asked God to make his will the desires of my heart. And the times of not wanting to be a priest lessened along with knowing deep down that doing God’s will is what would bring me the most amount of joy in my life.
