Vocation Story: From an early age, I expressed the desire to become a priest. Then high school rolled around and I wasn’t so sure anymore. For the first year and a half of high school, I wrestled back and forth between what I wanted and what I thought God wanted. Eventually, after I’d thoroughly confused myself, I simply gave up trying to figure out what God wanted and I started pursuing other things. I started dating a girl my junior year, decided to study engineering in college, and made it halfway through my senior year before God changed everything up. On January 1, 2018, while serving mass, I felt God calling me more clearly than I had in a long time. That night I broke up with my girlfriend. Then after two months of additional prompting from God, I began
applying to seminary.
