Vocation Story: Early in high school I developed an interest in Catholic apologetics, and spent much of my time learning about the truths of the Faith. My best friend was a protestant, and I wanted to win all the theological debates we would have. The many hours we spent arguing about the Faith prompted me to take on the practice of a daily rosary, which God used to completely transform my prayer life. When my best friend became Catholic, I started attending Mass more frequently (since now I had a buddy), which stirred in me a newfound love for the liturgy. I learned how to be an altar-server, and it was there that I discovered my yearning to be close to the altar and to give my life in service to the Church. I began to love assisting in my parish’s sacramental life and conversing with the priests and seminarians. After spending three semesters at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, God called me to take the leap and enter seminary, where He has already begun to bring forth much fruit.
