Vocation Story: Since a very young age I was always intrigued by priests, but never gave the priesthood much thought until my freshman year of high school when seminarians came to my theology class. I had noticed their joy and excitement to which I thought ‘that is really something to think about’. However, I did not seriously consider seminary until the summer going into my freshman year of college. It was around this time that my parish was assigned a new priest and I also began to attend mass daily and found myself at peace through prayer and serving mass. My parish’s new priest has had a major impact in my discernment, because he has shown me what being a priest means. It was at the beginning of my sophomore year when I decided to apply to the seminary for my home diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. I was later accepted and transferred to Bruté halfway through my sophomore year.
