Vocation Story:
It all started when I asked for a sign from God. I had not done so before because I did not want to test God, as that is what I had heard correspond with asking signs of Him. It was my senior year in high school and I did not know what my vocation was and did not know what I wanted to do after high school either. I was at NCYC and it seemed like the perfect time to ask if there was ever one. I asked God to give me sign in the form of a talk about Marriage or relationships if I was called to Marriage and to get Father Mike Keucher for confession in a group of a great number of priests if it was priesthood. Both happened. Both of these proposed signs happened, so I saw it as God telling me not to rush things and to trust in Him. I also saw it as a sign to go to seminary to figure this out. That along with multiple role models suggesting seminary when not expressing my interest verbally beforehand pointed me toward discerning at Bishop Brute.
